1995 Chateau Leoville Barton - TheEngineer - 12-05-2012

Normally I'm a big promoter of this LB. but tonight when I looked down on the last three glasses and I had finished the Mounton, then the Calon Segur and then still had some LB in my glass, it was telling.

Nothing wrong with the wine nor this bottle. Again quite reserved and tight on the nose, with more red fruits, cassis, lead pencil shavings, and a not completely integrated oak. ON the palate, a bit behind the Mouton in terms in intensity, more red cherries, uncrushed black pepper and clove spice, hint of mint, and the lead. The acidity is more pronouced leading to a bit more of a course wine. Perhaps more time then. Nothing wrong again but not showing its best.
