1999 White Cottage and Paul Hobbs - winoweenie - 11-27-2012

One more break in the sabbatical to have lunch with one of my nearest and dearest buddies. He's developed a nice palate over our 40 years of friendship so I can't take no bad stuff or he beats me up. The Cottage from a small vineyard on Howell was kick-pattoie juice and was just beginning to get rid of its' massive tannins and integrate into a mature, sedate senior. Needs another 3-5 but is really nice now. The Hobbs from the mity Hyde vineyard is definately the suave, svelt, juice that is one of Napas finest. We had a ball as he retired last year and is now the world traveller personified and has remarried a magnificient specimen from South Africa. Back on the sabbatical again! WW
