My mistake, I was in a rush the other day and I meant to say that the bottle I have is a 1974 Robert Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon. Is it worth giving away to a charity?

Because it was a very famous vintage and the wine highly regarded at release, it probably does have some collectable value...especially where prices paid at charity auctions have little to do with reality. My personal opinion of the 74 Mondavi is that it never left up to our expectations for it.

My notes show that the regular and Reserve bottlings of the 74 Mondavis left the planet with the crack of the 90`s. Someone will pay something for it as a write-off, but few knowledgeable people would give tou issue price to drink either.
