1992 Corison Napa Valley - TheEngineer - 11-04-2012
We had a wine dinner in prep for an up coming auction. The auction house and the company at dinner were outstanding. The restaurant (Toque) was also outstanding, the food done incredibly well. I'm posting on the wines that were at the tasting and some that people brought to the event to share. Regardless of whether I thought the wine was good or not, I appreciated the opportunity to taste them and learn from them
1992 Corison: This was the second mystery wine of the evening.
- hmm, a bit more green and slight veggie notes, cigar, tobacco, from a cool climate vintage, bordeaux, good structure, good body, balanced, needs time to open up. 96
Bordeaux, no? Cali?..my guess 1992 Dominus.... Hit the vintage and was close on the style at least.

Think this was in the long-ago comprehensive 92 tasting I did from the cellar. Regardless, this is a premier vinyard run by a talented dedicated woman who I love. Have yet to drink any of her releases that underperformed the vintage. WW
