For me, groffier wines are as much about texture as anything else. I've been fortunate to be able to taste a few wines from his starting form th his 85 Clos de Beze and up through to this recently. They all ahve this silky smooth texture above all, and the ripeness of the fruit comes through on that. Having said that, these wines would all be flabby if they did not come with a considerable structure and they all seem to, all remain very fresh and structured. Nice elegant nose, all in one piece. Lovely stuff.

To satisfy a late night need after reading book three of The drops of god. No way I was gonna open the "first apostle" at that time of night Smile but this wine served the purposes very well Smile Had a couple of glass, sated my need for a nicely textured and structured wine with good freshness. No change in notes.
