Man this thing is hot! the alcohol burns from the first nose adn keeps firing until the end of the palate. Too bad because it hides a pretty decent for the price drink. Nothing special about it but the ripe fruits, chocolaty, slightly off dry ripe dense part of the ports are here, in limited and amounts but the wine is very short for a port and finishes jsut hot and slightly bitter as a result.

Looks like that's an NV, just a cut above the LBV? Haven't tripped over that one yet....

And "First Estate" here means "first wine-producing property of the family" dating to the 18th century.

I need a cheat-sheet to decode the lingo of those dudes....

HW, I'm thinking based on my tasting that this is probably below their LBV. I'm seeing that LBV is about $18 USD but First estate is about $1 lower a bottle. LBV is much better for me and for that $1, not worth the step down.
