Anyone recommend a winery that can accomodate up to 7 people? Its for a group of my friends that are in EO, a sister org of YPO....

Cheers,

Alex

Duckhorn has a VIP room that's berry nice and they pour some keen juice. Flora Springs also has a little known tasting room behind Komes house that also nice. Both produce some neat stuff. If either fits their wine type I'd be happy to make arrangements. WW

We have loved Lewelling for years. They've been growing grapes in St. Helena since 1864, and have been making their own wine since 1994. They aren't open to the public, but take private parties. Google them. Judy and I have been going there for years and WW has been on their mailing list since I told him about them. Awesome Cans!!!!

There are 2 of the finer young winemakers over in Sonoma that will blow your bubbas' minds if they want to make a slight detour. You jes' 'kaint drink no finer juice than would be offered up at Joe Swan or Fred Scherrers' jernts. The tasting rooms are in a shack(Joes') or a warehouse(Freds). The only platinum guarantees I'll give is that 1) They don't leave thirsty or 2) They'll increase their knowledge of wines 3 or 5 fold. I can facilitate Maybe (As this is getting into the season where these dudes make their mark). WW

Actually Alex, I think most will be able to even in their private rooms....7 is not a big number. The problem is the dates. Please such as Shafer will not be open on the weekends.

Phelps, Alpha Omega, Cain, and many others should easily be able to absorb all that.

thanks guys, we're staying at Sharon and John Harris' (Amici, Common Dog and Rare Cat). They make great juice, then a visit to Gargiulo. We may try Lewelling as I also heard its splendid. thanks!
