Another one that I'm gonna be visiting soon, so so so so tight!! Needed a decant and even then, only started to show the massive fruit density of this wine, nice herby sense in the body great balance, super length but super tight!

Gruaud Larose seems to stay tight for a looooong time. Why is that, Verne? I remember thinking the 55 could stand another few when we had it back in 95.

This ex Cordier property has the staying power of the super seconds and even 1st growths at times. A super plot of land and old vines plus impeccible wine-making have been the hallmarks of every vintage I've cellared. Its' junior sibling Talbot can also sometimes rise up and bite the big boys in the tukus. WW
