will it hurt the wine to move it from lthe refrigerator to a room temperature wine rack.

Hi Aunty and welcome to the board. What type of wine are we talking about and how long do you intend to keep it in the rack before drinking? The fridge isn't reccommended as a wine storage unit...too cold. WW

mainly cheap wines from the grocery store and homemade wines from a small town. probably store until I decide to drink them.<P>Thank you for your response.

If its mainly cheap wines they are likely not intended to be aged, so I would suggest leaving them on the wine rack at room temp. Then chill the whites to your preference before drinking.

Thank you for your speedy reply. But you did mean even after they have been refrigerated its ok right...

Yes, it's okay.

The cold doesn't damage wine like heat does, so a stay in the fridge is okay.
