Hello all,
I've spent pretty much every free moment I've had in the last few weeks moving and settling into my new apartment in Evanston, so there hasn't been much time for the Net. Hope all is well with everyone here.
Anyway, I have a storage question. Today I bought a second Avanti wine cooler. Before I settled on that choice, the saleswoman was talking a lot about vibrations and temperature fluctuations in an attempt to get me to buy a $2500 SubZero unit that held about 50 bottles. Obviously, I didn't want to spend a month's salary on a wine fridge, so I opted for the Avanti unit. But what is the story with these vibrations & temperature fluctuations? Can they really harm the wine and/or disturb the aging process? Am I threatening my wine by leaving it in an Avanti cooler for four or five years?
