I am looking for an antique wine rack. I would like to know the availability and how much I should spend on this item.
Tell us more about what you're looking for. What is it made of? Wood? Wrought iron? How old? Or does it just need to look old? You don't give us much to go on.
JDM

I would be interested in wood only and wood with wrought iron. I like a very rustic look. Since I am a antique novice, I'm not sure how old a piece should be. I would like it to look old. I have heard of wine racks that stand approximately five feet tall. I eventually would like to collect quite a few, different sizes and designs. I am interested in the history behind older wine racks. I understand that during the prohibition many things were destroyed and only the churches were allowed to make and drink wine for religious purposes.
I appreciate your response!

Tracy welcome to the board. Howm-so-ebberly you are responding to a 12 year-old post. If Flowers din't get a rack by now am fairly certain she won't need one. WW
