I have an old wicker basket/box with 5 of 6
6&1/2oz gold foil covered unopen bottles of PERINET & FILS Brut 1928 Champagne "CUVEE RESERVEE" produced and bottled in Reims, France. They are wrapped in stitched straw and neatly packed in grey felt paper with a small stick holding the box shut through two wicker eyelets. It's in great shape and a wonderful looking item. Is it worth anything and might it be drinkable? Thanks, Kent

Hi Meatball and welcome to the board. Would seriously doubt that any size bottling of champagne from the 20s' are drinkable without perfect provenance. Gracious there MB, them dudes be almost as old as Moi'. As far as worth, I suggest getting in touch with Wine-Bid.com. The things they sell are prepostrous. If an 82 Marilyn Merlot sells surely a prettily boxed 6-pack of Bubbly should interest someone. Good Luck. WW
