- tommy - 12-18-2000 my aunt from germany gave me 2 bottle of wine. vino da tavola SPAMMA del piemonte-dessilani luigi&figlio.-1974vendemmia and frankreich BEAUJOLAIS reserve valvineux-hagendorff & gorte.bremen.-1976 can anybody tell me wich one taste better? or should i wait till my parent golden aneversary 9 years from now and just wondering how much these wine cost now.thanks - barnesy - 12-18-2000 The beaujolais probably went south of vinegar about 20 years ago. Don't know about the other one. Barnesy - ddf68 - 12-18-2000 Spanna is a Northern Italian wine made from the Nebbiolo grape. Nebbiolo can make long lasting wines (e.g. Barolo) and Dessilani is a reasonably good producer, so the Spanna may still be drinkable. A lot of this depends on how well it was stored and the quality of the vintage. I don't know anything about either of those questions. However I am sure that it is unlikely to get any better. Drink it now. ddf [This message has been edited by ddf68 (edited 12-18-2000).] |
