Are there any wines that are sulfite free?

- Innkeeper - 12-13-2000

The short answer is no. A small amount of sulfites occur in wine naturally. For in depth converage of the subject, go up to the search function at the top of the Board and type in "Sulfites." There is a lot of very good material there.

I also can recommend a good site for organic wines from France and Italy. Check this out for an explanation of sulfites.

Innkeeper is right that there is no such thing as sulfite-free wine. You can, however, find wines that have no added sulfites or other chemicals.
