We were visited on 2 July by Gianni Masciarelli who brought in all his latest wines, and there are some real gems. His biggest selling wine is one practically everyone has had at least once - the Montepulciano d'Abruzzo. Sadly, I learned the other day he passed away in Munich from a cerebral hemorrhage on 31 July, at only 52 years old. This only a few weeks after Sergio Zenato, another producer of wonderful Italian wines, also passed away. So sad.

Very sad indeed. We will pray for him.

How tragic. Only 52 years old. Our sincere condolences to his family.
