Well, we lost Maryann's sister yesterday morning. She had battled cancer for two years rather successfully and then three weeks ago it just took over. I'm glad it was fast, but very sad. 42 is just too young.

Condolences to the family, GAD. You're right, 42 is much too young.

- Kcwhippet - 09-21-2007

I am so sorry, GAD. We will keep her in our prayers.

Very sorry to hear it. Thoughts and prayers to follow.

Thanks everyone. Some moments are like nothing happened. Others are unbearable. Time will help.

So very sad to hear this and I've told Eileen and our prayers are with you.

You know, I've saw a lot of untimely deaths over the years in medicine due to various disease processes. You would think I would get used to it. For me, it never got any easier. I found myself sharing the family's grief. I also found words seemed hollow, or not enough. A tear spoke volumes.

GAD please excuse the winking icon as I was so tired I didn'e even notice my faux paux. WW

Wow.. 42.... so young. Very, very sorry Gad!

- wondersofwine - 09-22-2007

Adding my prayers and thoughts for you. Be there for Maryann to help her through this time.

Thanks again everyone. I have passed this thread on to Maryann and she really appreciates your thoughts.
