I've been out of my house in general (stopping home for a day or two at the most once a weeks if I'm lucky) for now 15 weeks starting from the beginning of summer. I am so glad to be home. Last straw was the delayed flights out of Philly due to the storms (and they were bad but.... of the six flights to Boston that were in front of me yesterday only 2 go out and the rest were cancelled or significantly delayed. I was bumped from the fourth flight I was confirmed on (with boarding pass and seating assignment in hand no doubt. Then when I finally did get onto another flight again, they could not get the plane in and used a smaller plane that had four rows (2 by 2) instead of six (3 by 3). So to solve that problem, they bumped all people who were sitting in the middle sit of both sides and left everyone else in their current seating assignment. Elegant but can you imagine the hassle the families that now were travelling together had? Wifes were left to travel without their husbands. Sibblings had to split up so that one could go with each parent. In one case, the child was the only one bumped.......(though that was rectified).

No fun for travellers and flight staff alike. There is simply not enough spare capacity to handle the smallest of issues. They even tried to fly us into Rhode Island and bus us into Boston but could not find a plane that could handle that.....

Then again had an opportunity to go back to Morimoto's on 7th in Downtown Philly for a nice meal. You gotta make lemonade sometimes.
