- Botafogo - 03-26-2002 Since we operate in the largest and most volatile fine wine market in the world and seem to have SOMETHING great every week that should sell for over $15 but we are able to sell an orphan lot or an end of vintage pallet for under $5, we have initiated a section in our store and our newsletter that simply says: "This space reserved for a deliciuos, drinkable red wine that should cost real money but is now just $3.99. Call for today's selection...." Would it be a public service or a horrible abuse of netiquette to let the members here in on the deals in the Great Buys forum in advance? Last week we liquidated 110 cases of a really good single vineyard unfiltered Oregon Pinot for $3.99 in about twelve hours so timing is of the essence in these things.... I took advantage of one of your Champagne bargains, a real steal. |
