Child Bride insists she gets to see water (other than the bath-tub) agin'. So I'm combining a lil' trip to Palm Springs, Newport Beach and then San Diego. She'll fly over next Thurs and we'll eat and drink our way for 4 days. I'll probably be omnline tomorrow before signin' off . You-all mind your manners, be kind to the elderly(IK & BUCKO ) don't use too many profane descriptive adjectives, and drink lots of the wunnerful wines of the good ole' U.S.ofA. WC and Drew, keep close watch on $#@(*&^^^^VGYDDMOG_)(((+$$#.... well you know. WW

(Standing at attention) "I'm watchin' Mr. Weenie....don't worry bout' nuthin.....

<drink lots of the wunnerful wines of the good ole'U.S.ofA> Got a better idea. Drink lots of French wine. Then they will get rich and be able to do a lot of trade with China. Then they will have to keep the Chinese under surveillance. Then when the Chinese force one the French planes to land there; heh, heh, heh.

Ik you DO have a mean streak. And tanks-a-bunch Drew. Know the troops will be kept in line. Ta-Ta. WW

Buckster, I'm picking up a case of McCrea syrahs in SanDiego. 4 each of the Orleans,Cheval, and Bouskey. If the wine is as nice as the people, I'll send you an Easter Bunny on my return. WW

- chittychattykathy - 04-17-2001

I am going to be tasting with them (McCrea) next week and can hardly wait after reading Bucko's notes!

- winoweenie - 04-22-2001

CCK you'll love the wines. BOY! Are those suckers fruit driven. Would have cost me a bundle if someone poured me a glass of the 98 Orleans and told me it was under 14% alcohol. So much fruit and spices that the illusion of alcohol hits you until you get all of the back palate dark chocolate, pepper, and black fruits assailing your throat.VERY impressive bottling. So, Buckmeister youse is off'n the hook. Think I'll let the rest of these buggers rest for a few years. WW

- Bucko - 04-22-2001

WW, I'm glad that you liked them. I look like hell flopping on the end of a hook..... Doug does a great job IMHO. He just called my office the other day to sign on as a patient -- sadly this shows the early stages of dementia.

- mrdutton - 04-22-2001

Dementia? Now let me think this through. You is a doctor. He is a wine maker. You like his wine. He wants a doc.

You charge big bucks...... methinks. I mean come on, your handle is Bucko.....

Winemaker wants doc, doc likes wine......

Uh duh??!!

I wonder how blue shield deals with a 1 Wine Bottle co-payment?

My father, the doctor, used to come home with eggs, chickens, and all sorts of things after making house calls in the less forturate parts of our town in suburban Long Island.

- winoweenie - 04-23-2001

"Bucko the honorable" would never barter his services and avoid his solemn duty as a taxpayer. WW

- Bucko - 04-23-2001

Right...........

- chittychattykathy - 04-23-2001

But then there is "house calls"....

- barnesy - 04-23-2001

"Dr Bucko, we have a patient that needs an emergency bottleectomy, here's his address"

"Quick Nurse, grab my reidel and a cork screw. Call my wife, tell her this could be an all nighter"
