Hope all have a wonderful week-end. We've been invited to go to Lake Powell with a friend who has a 78' floating Condo. CB's not feeling well so she'll let me know tomorrow about travelling. Putting in some vittles jes' in case. WW

Hope all works out and CB is feeling better. We are kind of up in the air. Mother has been travelling with youngest daughter out South Dakota - Nebraska way since last Friday. They are due back in Manchester, NH late tomorrow night. Since three of the kids live in area, there's no telling when she will get back. So, will play it by ear, and just batch it until she gets here, before, during, or after Memorial Day. The grill is ready.

Packing for the move plus moving the wine cellar here........ no rest for the wicked.

- hotwine - 05-24-2002

And now the little detail, Buckster - do you move 'em into the new cellar in an organized way, according to your record system? Or do you just move 'em en masse, to get the job done, and stuff 'em anywhere and everywhere? Hmmmmm? I've done it both ways, and even with only a few hundred bottles, it can get real ugly in a hurry.

- hotwine - 05-24-2002

I forgot to mention - Happy M-Day to all you guys & gals, too. Colors are flyin'.

- Bucko - 05-24-2002

Moving 24 cases at a time, organizing as I go. I have seven trips down and one more to go (only six cases in the last run this evening). Man I am too old for this nonsense.

Fly the colors proudly!

Whew! That's an awful lot like work! Don't go startin' the holiday weekend with a trip to the ER....

- Drew - 05-24-2002

I feel for you Bucko, I just got 25 days till I move and the stress has got me drinking Bartle and James.....I'll be working the weekend to interact with the communities which is always a good time. (free food and such) Happy M day to all and wave the flag high!

Fly the colors proudly! Hope all of you have a Memorial Day weekend that is meaningful and special. But whatever you are doing, please take a moment to pause and give thanks to our Men and Women in the Armed Services.

Today I cleaned the grill and got a piece of meat out to thaw.

Tomorrow I have grilled boneless strip steak and Pine Ridge CS. The strip steak is a beautiful 30 oz hunk of prime beef. I get it from Loebels in NYC for special occasions.

- hotwine - 05-25-2002

Congrats on the new digs and its cellar, Buckster! And Mike, you be careful with that there prime cut o' BEEF, now, ya hear?

- Bucko - 05-25-2002

Thanks, Gil. Are you offering a sacrifice to the charcoal gods tomorrow?

- hotwine - 05-26-2002

I was planning to, but family obligations have intruded, so might wait until tomorrow. Have a nice little 11 lb brisket in the fridge.....

- winoweenie - 05-26-2002

Sounds like all is well with the M-D Gang. ( NO Not Memorial Day, Memory Deficient ). I have some chicken breasts and some Pork Fillets I'll incenerate this afternoon. I've decided on the box of Franzia instead of the B&J to accompany. Have a great day ALL> WW

- Drew - 05-26-2002

Franzia only pairs well with "Piggly Wiggly" brand wieners....you should be serving boxed Almanden with your fare.

Drew

- winoweenie - 05-27-2002

Thanks for pointing out the errors of my cherce. You be rite, the Almy had just the proper body to pair well with the charred Porklets. WW

Hope everyone's having a nice, long weekend. We've spent it putting in a new cobblestone patio under the new pergola. This involved hauling in 3 yds of stonedust to make a base first. It's been hard work, but it looks good and it's almost finished (just some plantings to put in). Now we're going to sit back and reflect on what this day means to us and U.S. A flight of A-10's just went over in a missing man formation from the ceremonies downtown. What timing. Have a nice day, all.
