Remembered something I dug up when my Mom was sick, thought I'd pass it along FWIW. http://www.broccosprouts.com/ http://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/press/1997/SEPT/970903.HTM - brappy - 12-18-2007 This place won't be the same during his brief absence.... so I'll start by praying for his quick recovery from the treatment.... I wish you all the best IK.... Sorry you're going through this! mark - Innkeeper - 12-18-2007 Thanks Zenda and Mark. - wineguruchgo - 12-18-2007 Keep your chin and spirits up Carl! You have a whole stadium full of fans here rooting you through every treatment! We are here if you need us and will be even if you don't! hehe! - TheEngineer - 12-18-2007 IK, our prayers and best of luck, Keep up your spirits and lean on us if you need. Looking forward to you coming back all better! - newsguy - 12-18-2007 stay strong, carl. am praying for you. keith - winoweenie - 12-18-2007 Talked with Carl briefly this morn and he sounded incredible under the circumstances. Said he was hooked to the dispensor or chemicals but so far so good. Keep-On-Keepin'-On Carlotta!!!!!WW - winophite - 12-18-2007 Never under estimate the power of prayer. I've added mine too, knowing that He hears them all. WP - quijote - 12-18-2007 Best wishes to you, IK. I hope all goes splendidly. - wondersofwine - 12-19-2007 Would send a get well card but publishing addresses openly on the Internet is not a smart move so this e-mail will have to do. Same with Georgie--would like to send something but can't ask for the address to be advertised on the 'Net. - winoweenie - 12-19-2007 No big deal as the mighty teach has posted her telephone # in all the rest stops around the Jersey Airport.....(giggle, snort hehe) WW - dananne - 12-19-2007 Anne and I will continue to have you in our thoughts. - Drew - 12-20-2007 Carl, Eileen and I have you in our prayers and thoughts. Drew - Jackie - 12-20-2007 Sending my prayers and good energy. Jackie - Kcwhippet - 12-21-2007 Carl, So sorry I haven't been on earlier to wish you our very best in your treatment and recovery. I've been busier than I ever expected at the wine shop. The last 6 - 8 weeks of the year with all the holidays turn out to be the busiest time of the year in the the wine shop so I haven't spent a lot of time here on the board. We are so behind you, pal. - Georgie - 12-21-2007 Just catching up with y'all. First and Foremost, Carl, you're in my heartfelt prayers. Second, wonders, thank you for your good wishes. Third, WW, you rascal you, I've instructed Santa to put coal in your stocking. Fourth, pray for me who can't drink. My SO fell 2 1/2 weeks ago, broke his leg in two places and is in a cast up to his groin. He can't get out of the recliner to get to the bathroom without help. That'll take the merry out of one's Christmas, that's for sure. and did I mention I can't drink? - Drew - 12-21-2007 Sorry to ask, Georgie, why can't you drink? Drew - Georgie - 01-02-2008 Well, as some of you know, I've been infected with Hepatitis C. It seems I got some bad blood in transfusions received in surgery in 1981 before they tested for it. I recently completed 72 weeks of therapy (which was not at all fun) only to have the virus reoccur. Talk about disappointing. So in order to preserve my liver as much as possible, no alcohol for me. So I am drinking wine vicariously through youse guys. - winoweenie - 01-05-2008 Talked to IK yesterday and he's on daily radiation. SDtarts the 2nd of the chemo treatments in 2 weeks. Seems to be in good spirits under the 'stances. Wouldn't hurt to say "HI" to the mighty Keeper-of-the-Inn. WW |
