What would anyone recommend as a great wine for a discriminating European couple? Ready to spend up to $50!

If you're looking for something for them to bring home, and enjoy 10 to 20 years from now, I'll defer to others. If you want something they can truely enjoy here (after a few days to a week travel rest) this is what I would do. Call Simi Winery at 800-746-4880, and ask them which of their Cabernet Savignons they produced over the last 10 or 20 years they would recommend and would be available for $50, and where to get it.
