- joeyz6 - 12-15-2003 Hi all, hope you are well. Long time no post -- I've chosen not to have Internet access in my new apartment, so I don't have many Web-browsing opportunities these days. Just thought I'd make a quick post here to publicly thank Roberto for the Italian wine lessons he is giving me. He's sending me three bottles at a time from regions of Italy. When I get the bottles, I read up on the wines and taste them. I'm learning a ton about Italian wine this way. So far we've done two regions: the Alto Adige area, and now we're on the South. I don't have notes with me right now, but I will post them at some point soon. One of my favorites so far was a Lagrein. - winoweenie - 12-16-2003 Every now and then the reprobate does show some compassion.WW - Innkeeper - 12-16-2003 Love him or leave him Matt Kramer in the current (Dec 31) Wine Spectator lists the following among his favorite wines of the year: 1999 Lunelli Vigneti delle Dolomiti Terre di Pietra ($15). It is composed of 25% Lagrein, 25% Teroldego, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Carbernet Franc, and 10% Merlot. Sound like one you'd like Joe. - joeyz6 - 12-16-2003 That does sound like one I'd like. My second favorite from the Alto Adige was a Teroldego. |
