- Cathy - 06-26-1999 I have been buying wine for our wedding next summer I have it in the basement at approx 50 degrees + or- 5 degrees some of it is johannasberg riesling some is cabernet sauvignon some is merlot will it be good in one year? - Bucko - 06-26-1999 That is the old sucker question, Cathy. A guy asks if his wine will be good in a year if stored at 55 degrees. He is told yes. He replied "Thank God, it sure is terrible right now." Your wine will not deteriorate in a year's time if you keep it in a temperate area (less than 70 degrees) without wide temperature swings and flooding. Bucko |
