I've been handed a bottle of 1991 'Kiss' Shiraz by my dad who has had it in his cellar hidden virtually forgotten. The wine maker is D.A. Hornsby from Alice Springs in Australia and I can't find any information about it other than an outdated webpage. Any Kiss fans out there?

Hi Cheery, and welcome to the Wine Board. Don't know about 'Kiss', but do know that Alice Springs is opel, not wine country. Last time I was there (circa 1976), there were wooden sidewalks, "old west" facades on the buildings, and folks wore six guns on their hips. This wine was made there sixteen years later, most like from grapes from elsewhere. Usually wines made under these conditions are not age worthy. So, chances are, and this is pure speculation, the wine is over the hill.

Choose an appropriate time and give it a shot. If you are entertaining at the time, have something else in reserve.
