I guess I can't paste in an attachment. I wanted to send along the wines by the glass list for this week from Vin Restaurant in Raleigh. They are featuring Riesling and Pinot Noir this week and have some excellent selections. The most expensive Riesling is a Wachenheimer Auslese from Burklin-Wolf at $11.50 a glass. Some of the older vintage (80's) burgundies and more expensive wines are only available if you reserve the entire bottle. It includes an '85 Chateau Talbot magnum for $175. A '99 Savigny-les-Beaune Serpentieres from Ecard is available for $6.00 a glass (I already purchased two bottles of this). A '95 Gevrey "La Brunelle" from Roty is $7.50 per glass. And a '98 Willakenzie "Pierre Leon" is $6.00 per glass. I hope to try the Willakenzie by the glass rather than paying for a bottle and perhaps finding it not to my liking.
The restaurant has a tie-in with a wine shop so is similar perhaps to the setup for which Summa is planning in Blowing Rock.
