Howdy folks!

Just wanted to say hello to one and all. Popped the cork on a 97 Larrikin Shiraz (killer bottle of juice, by the way) a short while ago, and am eagerly awaiting a nice steak sandwich dinner that my wife is cooking up to go with it.

Haven't been around too much lately. Much to my chagrin, it seems that when my job isn't flying me to the far corners of the globe, it has me chained to my desk...WAY too much work. Go figure!

PS Went to Enoteca I Truli last night, a wine bar here in NYC (met Scoop, Foodie, and IK there one night). Had a wonderful glass of 2000 Vietti Moscato d'Asti--honeysuckle and gardenias in a glass! If MDA isn't the best damn thing to drink in the summer, I don't know what is...

Howdy RADsky, glad you had a good time at our favorite Italian Platz. The MDA sounds great, but you should try an iced cold Tavel Rose' on a hot summer night.

Velchome bak Ricardo. Thot maybe you we'd said sumpin' to hurt your feelins. Naw, How the blazes can you hurt a securities-guys' feelings? WW

RAD, to pick up on IK's thought pattern--get your palms around a Chateau Routas Rouviere (I left out the accent over the e, Scoop). Give that wine an hour in the cooler, pour, sip and try to tell me that Moscato isn't a distant second on a summer's eve!!!

How to e-trap a Foodie:

Bait trap w/ one post containing any reference to Moscato d'Asti. Results guaranteed. (Note: works much faster & cleaner than catching mice w/ peanut butter)

Foodie, you're on. I think I just might be in town this weekend. Would you happen to have on in your shop?

Hey purv, if you'll take notice, I was the one laying the trap--and it worked.

Sure, RAD, there is a Routas Rouviere around somewhere on the shelves, however, neither I nor Scoop will be around on the weekend. I am off for a three-day on my Keuka Lake property--Scoop is up in Rheinbeck/RedHook, But my associate, Lynda (with a "y," she claims), will take good care of you.

Lynda be the best. She started out as a Wine Board Novice wanting to get into the bus, and Foodie turned her into a pro.
