Is it white with Turkey?? Traditional roast Turkey,Cornbread dressing with gravy, Greenbean casserole, candied Yams, and of course, a pumpkin and/or chocolate dessert. And keep in mind, we prefer light tasting wines. I have been serving a lot Founders Estate Beringer Cab.Sauv. and we really like the oak or smokey flavor. But I recently found a Mondavi Wild creek Canyon Cab. Sau., that we like even better. As you can probably tell, I prefer modestly price wines. And yes,,I know these are not white wines. LOL! I also found a White Merlot Beringer that we like very well. it is a rosey coler a rosey color. We are just having a lot of fun trying different wine pairings with our evening meal. I really appreciate the advice I find here. This is a wonderful place!! So far,,my very favorite is a Beringer Knights valley. But it runs $28.00 a bottle, (40 to 60 in restraunts) and that is just not in my budget for 20 people on Thganksgiving.
OH!..I also would like to serve a dessert wine. Any ideas here will be greatly appreciated.

What to have with Thanksgiving is one of most controversial subjects in winedom. Recommed you do a seach on Thanksgiving Wines for more information than you can stand.

This thread is what brought me to this board for the first time back in '99: http://www.wines.com/ubb2/Forum37/HTML/000176.html

IK, I went to that thread. Made me feel good reading Jerry's posts. Made me feel sad too.

In all, glad I went to the thread; thanks for the reminder. I still don't care much for turkey, unless it's wild.

InnKeeper,,,yes you did!,,,(hanging head ,,embarrassed,) cause I tried the address you gave but apparently was typing it in wrong. Never got there. Tried again a few minutes ago and ,,found all that wonderful info! So many choices now I am dizzy! I think I'll purchase several of the choices and let my guests decide for themselves. I am leaning toward a Pinot Noir, A smokey Chardonnay, a Zinfandel, and just my own personal favorite, Mondavi Cabernet Sauvigon. I will likely throw in a couple of Sparkling wines too.
Thanks for the assist!
