- glenora - 06-18-2004 While it may be a bit early--I would like to suggest either the first weekend in August(August 5-7) or the second weekend in August(August 12-14). Establishing a date early on gives everyone the opportunity (if they wish) to incorporate other plans into the trip and it also gives CCK and Bucko better than a year to find a place to hide. Gene - winoweenie - 06-18-2004 Sounds like a plan is emerging. WW - dananne - 06-19-2004 Either weekend works for Anne and me. - Kcwhippet - 06-19-2004 We're good either one. - Georgie - 06-19-2004 OK by me, too! - hotwine - 06-19-2004 Same here. - Bucko - 06-20-2004 I'm already camouflaged.... - Kcwhippet - 06-20-2004 As what, Doc? - Thomas - 06-21-2004 Well, that far out looks good from this distance--but I can't fully commit until later in the year. - Innkeeper - 06-21-2004 Both dates look fine. - wondersofwine - 06-21-2004 Either one works for me. I think I'll include several days before or after (most likely before) in the Portland area and visit some Willamette Valley wineries. - Bucko - 06-21-2004 Anyone wanting to come out early and wander the Seattle to Olympia corridor is welcome to use our home as a base of operation. We have two dedicated guest rooms downstairs. - Georgie - 06-21-2004 That's very generous of you, Bucko. Hopefully I'll be able to come out early or stay later to mooch off my west coast relatives! - newsguy - 06-21-2004 i plan on going regardless, but i will make a pitch for the first weekend, aug. 5-7, only for the selfish reason that saturday aug. 6 will be my birthday. can you say PARTY? bucko: that is very kind of you to offer. in fact, i had planned on spending a few days over that way on this trip since my wife and i, remarkably, have never been to seattle. certainly will be looking for suggestions, and maybe a room for the night. Will go ahead and put it on the books for now. CCK (Since I work/live in the valley I won't have too many places to hide anyway.) - Thomas - 06-22-2004 Bucko, generous offer. With all of us coming, how many people can fit in those two guest rooms of yours??? - newsguy - 06-22-2004 happy birthday to me! - Georgie - 06-22-2004 Ok! Aug. 5-7, 2005 is down in the datebook! YES! - glenora - 06-22-2004 Hard to believe--- a decision made by this group in 3-4 days!! A great thing. CCK--if you need any help in planning I would be glad to assist. If the group that comes to the west coast is as friendly as the group that was here last month we are all in for a great time!! (and we will not have to listen WW's comments about "blush" reds--he just never caught on to cool climate viticulture) - Bucko - 06-22-2004 I have two guest rooms, four queen size blow up beds and one blow up doll for WW.....
