- rjhm - 02-18-2008 I have a 1948 Charles Krug Napa, Cab and am interested in opinions of its value. Any one want to chime in? Rob - Bucko - 02-18-2008 Zip unless you can prove impeccable storage. Even then, it has only collector value -- the wine is from a ho hum vintage year and is long since dead. I had a 1955 in 1995 that was still alive, but just barely. - rjhm - 02-19-2008 It has been stored in our cellar, but I doubt it would be worth drinking at this age. I was hoping it would have some keep sake antiquity value since Charles Krug was the first winery in Napa. - wineguruchgo - 02-19-2008 If you haven't already I would contact the winery. They might be interested in it for display purposes if the bottle/label are in good shape. |
