Though I've never had the wine your speaking of, I wouldn't lose too much sleep worrying about getting an exact replacement. The current vintages available are 96', 97', and 98', and are not selling for more than $6 on winesearcher.com. You can contact Externet World- French Wines and order from them if you want at order@com55.com .

My recommendation, fess-up and replace your Dad's wine s with something better, as I find it a little hard to believe that the stuff was probably much good to begin with. Good luck!

Okay thanks for that. The booze in question was champagne. Does that change anything, or is it still probably an inexpensive do. Its not the cost anyway, its just the principle that this chap broke into the cellar. I find it very annoying !!

Thanks for your help

Richard, Welcome to the baord and this shopuld put this problem to bed. One of my daughters hairy-legged sex-maniac boy-friens in high school got into my cellar and snatched the 1st bottle he could reach. My daughter, knowing I knew every bottle in the jernt told him to pay up or ship out. He worked for one solid month in my furniture store and spent the total proceeds on the replacement bottle..a 1970 B.V. Pvt Reserve. Twas` a fine exchange for the 72 Martini the lil` butt-head drank. Put up a nice bottle of Roederer Crystal or Billicart Salmon Rose (MY fav). Dern the money, pay-up sucker. winoweenie

Few things better than a nice Billecourt Saumon Rouge. So that's good advice.
