CCK,
Which area of Washington State are we contemplating? Have you given any thought to what accommodations would hold a large group? I know it's early, but I'm wondering if we need to book much in advance to reserve a bloc of rooms?

- Thomas - 10-27-2004

Is this the official date for the offline? I missed that post.

- newsguy - 10-27-2004

So are there more details on this? I am still kicking myself for missing the one last year when it was only a drive away. To ad insult to injury my future wife, whom I blew off the get together for, left me that weekend never to return. So, not only did I miss a great time with you all, I got to sit home alone and try to figure out how to reconstruct my life. I am bound and determined to get to this one. I did a search and only found a date and that it's in Washington State. Anyone have anything else to share?

- Georgie - 11-23-2004

Oh no! That is so sad! At least had she the decency to take off the weekend before, you could have come with us to drown your sorrows! Really...don't miss out this year, even if you find yourself madly in love with someone new. The WineBoard will not desert you!

- wondersofwine - 11-23-2004

Seems that CCK is not responding. Bucko, maybe you can help us consider accommodations?

- Bucko - 11-23-2004

I don't want any of youse bums out here. Beat it ... scram ... I'm armed and dangerous.

- Glass_A_Day - 11-23-2004

Hey Bucko, when I get there I hope you have some cute gals to set me up with. You can tell them I'm 31, have my health, my hair (well, most of it), and a good job. And an accomplished pervaracator. WW

- Thomas - 11-23-2004

Gee, Glassaday, sounds good, but I can use just the hair...

So, where's CCK? Are we going to be stuck with Bucko while we are out there?

I am planning to make it out there by Amtrak--I love trains. Took a cross country trip twice, and this gives me an excuse to do it again.

- Glass_A_Day - 11-23-2004

Now there's an idea. Never did it by train.

- Bucko - 11-23-2004

By train or on a train? Sorry, that was too good of a setup...

- Bucko - 11-23-2004

We need to get serious if CCK is going to leave us hanging. I don't know how to contact her.

I guess we first need to choose a definite site -- Yakima Valley or Walla Walla. Votes?

- Kcwhippet - 11-24-2004

Kat mentioned back after she moved that she had taken a position with Alexandria Nicole Winery in Prosser. Is she still there?

- Innkeeper - 11-24-2004

Last address I had for her was: winestyle@earthlink.net

- hotwine - 11-24-2004

Haven't heard from her in several months.

- Glass_A_Day - 11-24-2004

It's your neck of the woods Bucko, what do you recommend? I know too little to make an informed decision. Ok, I have to run to watch Risky Business...

P.S. WW, I may have told a slight canard. I won't be 31 until January. Just because I vote the opposite of Foodie doesn't make me an oldtimer like Bucko.

GAD,

WW and I know that you should never trust anyone under 30!

And how do you know my vote? I knew there was cheating going on...

- wondersofwine - 11-24-2004

I agree that Bucko is in a better position to choose the area of the state. I'm willing to go with any area with decent wines and where we could taste at several wineries.
