here's a directly link to last week's column on my visit to arrowood and a few of the wines we drank that night in napa at a casual dinner with some folks in the wine biz (professional chef did the cooking and we just pitched in $20 apiece for the shopping. mmmmm, mmmmm!)

If I remember correctly, Richard Arrowood was responsible for all those really wonderful single vineyard Chards put out by Ch. St. Jean in the early 80's. We had a 1980 CSJ Robert Young Vyd. Chard from mag back in 1996. Fabulous!! I'll bet even WW would have liked it.

As I e-mailed the Florida Flash, Richard is a good friend of mine and I remember his 78 St. Jean Bob Young with VERY fond memories. Have spent meeny evenings with a great bottle of his juice. WW
