Four cases of wine???? You only got four cases of wine? Who do you have doing the shipping?

We'll be going to Mirepoix also, exactly two weeks from today. Looking forward to it.

There are ninety four more years in this century so someone may have a chance to equal your honeymoon!

- Glass_A_Day - 07-08-2006

Ferarri wines were very good as always. I got to try some stuff that I can't find locally like their syrah which was very nice. The Inn had a guy they always use from a company called Mail and More. I hope he is as good as they say he is. That is some special juice I am taking home. Yes, only four cases. I wanted to be like Verne and fill my car with it until the fenders were hitting the tires, but I ran out of cash. Thanks for the words IK. Will pass them on to the bride.

Well Rodskie, sounds like your Reidel runneth over there bubba!. I'm delighted that Maryanne and you had a good time. 4 cases eh? Looks like we'll be getting meeny posts from the Gadster in the coming months. BPR, WW

Very, very nice, GAD ol' bean! Congrats and blessings on you both.

Now just make sure you give those four boxes good storage, so they don't turn into high-dollar salad dressing.

Copius Congrats to your GAD. What wonderful news.

Drew

GAD if you and yours get tired out, you are welcome to come to our air conditioned house and swim in our pool.

Does this offer require me bringing my new stash from the trip IK?

- winoweenie - 07-09-2006

You can bet your bippy on it GAD.WW;')

- Innkeeper - 07-09-2006

Nah. We got plenty!

- Glass_A_Day - 07-10-2006

Would love to come for a visit sometime. Putting faces to names on this board is long overdue for me. I'm still waiting for WW to come visit. I'm painting the spare room this weekend and making room in my cellar.

Thanks for the report. I really like Ferrari-Carano Tresor (a Bordeaux-type blend) and bought a bottle a little over a week ago. I also like Simi Cabernets so I'm sorry that winery visit disappointed. The Sterling Winery is interesting with the tramride, view, self-guided tour, and bells. I was planning to eat at the Farmhouse on a trip in 2005 that got canceled. Where is Mirepoix?
WW makes a great tour guide in California wine country.

The Farmhouse was very nice, but I got a bum filet. The staff was excellent though and we found that great Kamen wine there. The link below is a great writeup on Mirepoix along with contact info.

Looking forward to our dinner at Mirepoix. We're leaving next Wednesday for two weeks out there (including the Napa/Sonoma phase 21-24 July). Since we're staying in Santa Rosa, one of the places we picked for dinner is Mirepoix next Friday. We're also going to K&L Bistro in Sebastopol (near Scherrer) on Saturday, John Ash & Co. on Sunday, and maybe Cyrus on Monday. Going to be a good time! Wish the whole crew (or most of it) was going to be there.

- wondersofwine - 07-11-2006

GAD, thanks for the link. I printed it out and will keep it in a restaurant and/or travel file I've started at home. I may get to California in 2007.
