im very new to wine. i have a few bottles of Bolla Valpolicella from 1991 and 1986. they have been in my basement since then. now that i have become interested in wines, would these bottles of wine still be good or better being they are aged. just trying to figure out what i have. thankyou George.

I remember having those wines many years ago. As I recall, they were best drunk within a couple of years of release. So, I'd say you should have drunk the 86 by the time you got the 91, and the 91 should have been drunk at least five or six years ago.

They might--a big might--be drinkable, but there is only one way to find out.

OOooo the same thing happened to my mom, actually, with the same wines, except one was an 86 and the other an 89. I don't know what happened to the 89, but the 86 was a big bad disaster. P.U.
