I am really young and really ignorant when it comes down to wine.Which countries are good?
What are the categories?Chardonnay,Shiraz,Pinogrigio,Chavignon..?
Which are the good white and which are the good red?Thank you

Welcome to the board. You need to read up on the subject. Recommend Wine for Dummies by Andrea Immer. There are many others available, but that one is a good start.

Hotwine actually gave you two good books with which to start. "Wine for Dummies" (Ed McCarthy, Editor) is a good read, as is Andrea Immer's "Great Wines Made Simple."

dimitmant,

So how young is really young? Old enough to drink I hope!

If you are new to wine and want a suggestion I would start with a Gewurtztraminer or Riesling for white or a Beaujolais or Pinot Noir for red.

They, in my opinion, are the easiest to drink.

Dan is correct. Sorry 'bout that.
