- Seamouse - 04-05-2006 Hi everyone, I'm so happy to find this site! I have a recipe for pork roast with a port wine and fig sauce. It doesn't specify what type of port to use. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks. - Innkeeper - 04-05-2006 Hi Seamouse, and welcome to the Wine Board. We use Taylor's Tawny Port for cooking. As a matter of fact we use it almost everytime red wine or port is called for. Go through a 1.5 of it every month. - Seamouse - 04-05-2006 Thanks Innkeeper. I'll go with the tawny. Glad I asked- my friend was sure it should be ruby (just because she liked the name... lol). - wondersofwine - 04-06-2006 The sauce sounds interesting. Care to share the recipe? - Seamouse - 04-06-2006 Wonder, I love EVERYTHING Giada makes (and have the hips to prove it, LOL ). This will be our Easter dinner. Here's the link. http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/recipe/0,,FOOD_9936_30475,00.html - wondersofwine - 04-06-2006 Printed it from the link. Thanks! |
