What are your thoughts on the franchise "Cork and Olive"? I am to to wine and interested what the experts think. I've just joined this site and so far have found it extrememly informative. Thanks for sharing your expertise.

What exactly is Cork and Olive? I tried to find it on the internet and no go. BTW, my mother-in-law used to live in Zephyrhills - Betmar.

The store sells wines and imported olive oils. Below is the link to their site. Thanks for responding. Betmar is about 10 miles south of us. Small world.

I took a look at their website. While their philosophy of wine guides sounds good, I kept wondering what wines do they carry and what are the prices? Couldn't find this very basic information. I'm suspicious of any company that doesn't promote at least some of their wines upfront. For real customer service they should have all or almost all of their normal stock available for viewing online. Otherwise, why bother with a website?

I don't visit the website, I go the store that is quite close to me. I have purchased wines from there and have been generally happy with them. I'm so new to wine that I couldn't tell you the name just that I have bought a riesling and a pinot noir. Obviously this is a franchise that is predominately in Florida. Thank you for answering my post, I appreciate your time.

Welcome to the wonderful world of wine. Start writing down the details of the wines you especially enjoy--the producer or winery, the vintage year, the grape variety, etc. Then you can revisit that wine later on or try it in the next vintage to see if the quality holds up or is inconsistent. Hope you have many pleasurable wine-drinking experiences ahead of you.

Thanks for the tips. I'll start doing that.
