Hi all,

I was given a bottle of Meursault - Genevrieres Domaine Latour-Giraud 1984 about 10 years ago and would like to know a little bit about it (specifically if it's worth anything )

I'm by no means a wine expert of any description and would appreciate and info on this, or maybe a few links from which i could find out about it myself.

Cheers in advance.

Piddy

Hi Piddy and welcome to the board. Unless you have stored this wine properly(on its' side in a dark cool space) for the time you've had it the wine is probably history. Single bottles of wine are extreemely hard to sell unless they are old, again, properly stored Bordeaux or Burgandys from a great vintage. Invite some wine-loving friends over and open that sucker.WW

Also, according to Wine Spectator vintage charts, 1984 was not a good year for either white or red Burgundy wines. Your wine is a premier cru white Burgundy but with a poor vintage and uncertain storage conditions it probably has no market value.

Robert Parker doesn't even list 1984 on his vintage charts. That probably shows what he thinks of that one.
