Has anyone on the board tried this wine. My oldest son gave this to me for Valentines Day. (Definately my sweetest child) I was wondering if it's as good as the description on the bottle sounds? The year is 2003.

We "took a shot" on a Coppola Diamond 2004 Pinot Noir about two weeks ago and were very, very impressed. I cannot recall the price, but it was low enough to necessitate the second "very". I am completely unfamiliar with where/how Coppola's varied labels are distributed, but in the DC-area we find them at World Market.

Last bottle enjoyed: 2003 Sterling SauBlanc - Napa? Sonoma? North Coast somewhere . . .

In the past 3 vintages Francis Fords' Coppola label has been one of the top P/Q wines posted on here at the WB. Nice stuff for the bucks. WW

Huck,

I seem to recall it running in the range of $14-17 at the World Market in Minnesota. The P-N was a little more money than other Copala wines.

Well judging from what I'm hearing I have a very sweet son and will be enjoying my valentines gift from him this weekend. I will let you all know how it goes. Thanks for the input. Here's their website diamondcollection.com for anyone who may want to take a gander. I'm not sure where he purchased it. He may have gotten it at the wine shop in Louisville,Ky. I'll have to ask if I like it since I haven't seen it at any of my stops.

does anyone know if they are going to continue to make that label?? I was out in Napa a few weeks ago and they've changed the name of the winery to Rubicon (their high end wine at $100 a bottle.)We had some spare time so we went in to see what it was all about and they now charge $25 per person just to walk through the door. (My sister was a Rubicon member so there was no charge or I would have been out of there. I was totally unimpressed. I'm not a huge fan of their wines but I always loved the grounds there. Has anyone else been out there lately? If so what is your reaction.
