...and another question. I'm looking for a website where I can compare prices. Now it takes me a long time to find a wine and its price online - I guess there will never be a complete list, but which one can you recommend?

These are all probably cheap wines, but if anyone has an idea what the prices are, please let me know:

Bordeaux:
(1) Chateau Mayne D'Eyquem (2001)
(2) Chateau De Ricaud (1999)
(3) Seignouret, Chateau Haut Barade (2000)

Merlot:
(1) La Crosse (2000), Napa Valley

Cabernet Merlot:
(1) Black Opal (2000)

Chardonnay:
(1) CK Vineyards, Willow Springs (2001)

Thanks in advance!

Don't know the Bordeaux, but the others are:
La Crosse - US$8
Black Opal - US$6
CK Mondavi - US$7

A good place to go to compare prices is www.winesearcher.com.

Thanks for the information. Right now I'm drinking the Seignouret - solid I would say. I really like Bordeaux. Also I prefer Merlot to Cabernet Sauvignon and my favourate is probably Shiraz (until now). Tempranillo, Pinotage and Carmenere I had only once, they are ok, too, but I would rate them lower than Merlot or Shiraz. In whites I prefer Moscato or Riesling to Chardonnay or Sauvignon blanc.

That's pretty much I know about wine so far -- any suggestions where to continue (with a limited budget)?

Keep doing what you are doing - which is finding out what you like.

Keep buying drinking wines - at your level of wine spending there is no need or sense in 'stocking a cellar'.

Go ahead and buy an extra bottle or two of what you really like, BUT keep trying different wines and different makers, you will find more that you particularly like.

Yes, I think that's the way to do it --- thanks
