I dont usually drink red wine, but realising the health benefits would like to indulge in a glass or two with my husband. Can anyone recommend an ultra fruity red which goes down easy as we are both finding them a little heavy going at the moment.
Thanks.

Hi Greynet, and welcome to the Wine Board. Try a simple Beaujolais (no Classico or other descriptions on the label) or a Lambrusco such as Reunite (found everywhere).

Thanks inn keeper. I did try a beaujolais, though i do prefer an argentinian wine i found up to now. La Boca malbec. it is really fruity and warm. have you heard of this wine it is is from the mendoza wine region at the foot of the andes.

I love Argentine Malbecs, but am not familiar with the La Boca. Will be having one tonight as a matter of fact. They have all been fruity, but range from medium to full body. Thought you were looking for a light bodied wine.

Try some red California Zinfandel or similar Italian Primitivo. Both are very fruity and many are smooth without harsh tannins.
