Hi again :-)

A doc I used to work for had a party at his home (5 years ago or so). Unfortunately I have lost contact with him, but he was a huge fan of Australian wines and served a wonderful white Australian wine at a X-mas party.

Wine lingo / terminology is foreign to me, but as best as I can describe it was fruity, almost tropical and peachy. It wasn't acidic and had a small hint of sweetness to it It was wonderful. I remember drinking glass after glass (LOL) and thinking it was the best wine in history (and no hangover)! To this day I can still taste it.

Any recommendations for similar Aussie wines that I mentioned above? I would like to stay in the $10-$20 per bottle range, but would be willing to pay a little more if it's worth it. What should I look for when reading a label for Aussie wines?

Hi Tiny, and welcome to the Wine Board. To take a guess it was probably an unwooded chardonnay or an Australian riesling. You can find a good selection of both in Huntington Beach. Or, check out: http://www.southernwines.com/ (For those of you interested in the subject is says to the left the HTML is Off). So Tiny, you will have to copy and paste.
