Drew and/ Winoweenie.............do you have any picks for a non-dry white wine in the 20-30$ price range that is outstanding by your standards???? you both were very influential in my last purchase and i was wondering if you could help me again...

The best slightly sweet white wines for my palate are German Rieslings in the Spatlese or Auslese levels of sweetness. As a starter, try a JJ Prum Auslese from 1997.
Another way to go is to get a Baumard Coteaux du Layon wine from the Loire Valley which is also mildly sweet.
Ask your local wine dealer to give you something comparable if these are not available.

daseib, asking ww for a white wine suggestion is like asking nominees for president to be presidential.
Riesling is definitely the one.

daseib, sorry but I'm not much of a white wine guy myself either. I think a nice riesling though would fit the bill.
