- daseib - 12-22-2000 Drew and/ Winoweenie.............do you have any picks for a non-dry white wine in the 20-30$ price range that is outstanding by your standards???? you both were very influential in my last purchase and i was wondering if you could help me again... thanks daseib - Bucko - 12-22-2000 The best slightly sweet white wines for my palate are German Rieslings in the Spatlese or Auslese levels of sweetness. As a starter, try a JJ Prum Auslese from 1997. Another way to go is to get a Baumard Coteaux du Layon wine from the Loire Valley which is also mildly sweet. Ask your local wine dealer to give you something comparable if these are not available. Bucko - Thomas - 12-22-2000 daseib, asking ww for a white wine suggestion is like asking nominees for president to be presidential. Riesling is definitely the one. - Drew - 12-23-2000 daseib, sorry but I'm not much of a white wine guy myself either. I think a nice riesling though would fit the bill. Drew |
