- bLooD Of chrisT - 11-13-2002 Hey wine.com posters i wanna know a good red wine that doesn't have to be chilled. A wine that you could sit down with, with a good book. Just a good relax wine. Any help would be greatttttttt heres to a future w/ wine!!! - Innkeeper - 11-13-2002 Hi, and welcome to the Wine Board. The only red wines I know of that need to be chilled are the soon to released Beaujolais Nouveau, and red dessert wines such as Late Harvest Zinfandel. So that leaves about half a million possibilities. A couple or few suggestions from various parts of the world are Chianti Classico from Italy; Beaujolais Villages or Cotes du Rhone from France; an Australian Shiraz; an Argentine Malbec; a South African Pinotage; or an American Red Zinfandel. All of these will fill your bill. An easy to find zin is Cline California Zinfandel that runs around $10. - bLooD Of chrisT - 11-13-2002 Thanks Innkeeper!! Hopefully my markets carry such bottles. Thanks again!!! |
