This may be a strange question...a couple brought a chilled bottle of Riesling over for dinner, but we didn't drink it b/c we decided to have margaritas instead. If I unchill it and store it in the basement will it change the taste or ruin the wine?

Not so strange a question. You shouldn't have any problem putting the wine down in the basement, provided the basement temps are fairly cool.
