I'm visiting Sicily, Italy and was curious if there are any Italian or Sicilian wines that are comparable to California's, White Zinfedell?

Hi NG and welcome to the board. Just a small chide.... You're fortunate enough to be in one of the worlds' greatest wine producing regions, so my suggestion is to be adventureous and drink what the locals do with their meals. You can expand your palate and enjoy a new culture at the same time. IMHO, it's quite probable you'll come away with a whole new perspective on wine and food. Good Luck!. WW

The most popular white wine there is Catarratto Bianco. WW is quite correct though. If you want white wine with your meal, just say Bianco. If you want red, say Rosso. If you want rose' (which white zin is supposed to be), say Rosato.
