Help! I would like to add a good red bordeaux to my growing wine collection. Any suggestions? Please, nothing too fancy. I would like to be able to get it locally. (Miami, FL).

Hi Genese, and welcome to the Wine Board. Chateau Les Fiefs De Lagrange, St Julien runs around $15, and could be the best Bordeaux value under $20.

I would suggest a 1996 or 1998 Lafite.

I just picked up a '98 Talbot (St. Julien)for about $35. It's classified as a 4th growth but some say it should be with the 2nd growths. (They were selling for $65 and up)
However, '98 is said to be a better vintage in Pomerol and St. Emilion regions and quality elsewhere depended on whether the grapes were picked before the rains came or not. Guess I won't know the results until I try it. In good vintage years Talbot may be a relative bargain.
