Okay, so my wedding reception is coming up in a month. I am estimating 150 guests. My bar will be beer and wine only.

WINE SUGGESTIONS great appreciated! I've been told a Chardonnay, a Blanc and a Cab...that those are the "safest." Enlighten me!

I'm looking for wine for $16 or less per bottle. I would love your feedback!

I posted a Cab suggestion under your other posting (Wynn's Coonawarra Black Label from Australia). For Sauvignon Blanc you might consider St. Supery, Honig, or Joel Gott from California or one from New Zealand (Kim Crawford, Geisen, Nobili, etc.). I don't have any inexpensive Chardonnay recommendations for you. Others may furnish additional suggestions.
A nice domestic sparkling wine is Gruet Blanc Noir from New Mexico.

For the chard, you might go with
Macon-Lugny "Les Charmes"

Terrific wine at around $12

I agree with the Les Charmes. For a red you might consider. Research has shown that an electic crowd would prefer a Shiraz to a Cabernet. Wynn's Shiraz would be fine.

Thank you for the awesome suggestions! I personally love Shiraz and Red Zin myself...

Just a little info as my way of saying "thanks..." try Edmeades Red Zin (2004 or 2005). One of my favorite for the budget-minded.
