I have a bottle of this, marked "reserve particulaire", 1926. Have no idea of the value, if any. Can you help?

I don't know the value but wonder if you can further identify it. Is it a red wine? Is it marked as being from Burgundy? Does it say Grand Cru or 1er Cru on it anywhere?

It does not say the things you mentioned, but actually now I think it must be a brandy because of the light color. Any idea as to value, if any?

Hi Hypermod and welcome to the board. Have never seen a Compte brandy in all my wine travels. The light color is probably indicative of a Burgandy wine thats turned into a component for salad dressing. Post the whole label verbatum and can probably give more definative answer. As for value, a 1926 ANYTHING without a detailed guaranteed cellaring regimum is only worth the " Look what I gots " value. WW

Almost all the Comte Georges de Vogue brandy is found in the UK. They're producers of red and white wines in Burgundy, and they turn some of their production into a few different brandies. The Reserve would sell for about $60 here. If it hasn't been subjected to any unreasonable heat since it was bottled, it's probably fine to drink. BTW, any spirits, like brandy, don't get any better after they've been bottled, but they can go bad if they haven't been stored well.
